Tall heels interfere with the normal posture of the feet. The heel and the toes have to be in perfect alignment to carry and support the weight of the entire body. While using high hells, the full weight of the body is concentrated on the heels causing extreme pressure on the heel muscles, calf muscles and toes. The center of gravity shifts dangerously from the feet to the heels.

The sciatic nerve is one of the longest nerves in the body. It passes all the way through the spine and goes down to the heel. High heels will directly exert pressure on this nerve. During pregnancy, women who wear flat shoes also experience tremendous amount of back pain. The sciatic nerve on the spine is pushed and pressed by the growing fetus. This causes extreme pressure on the nerve, giving rise to terrible back pain. To exert more pressure by wearing high heels is a perfect concoction for back pain disaster.
